Amina Al Sherif to Launch Nadiri: A Generative AI Creativity Competition
Renowned author Amina Al Sherif is gearing up for the release of her three-part series, Nadiri, and is inviting others to unleash their creativity through the use of generative AI.
Generative AI is a specialized form of artificial intelligence that excels at creating new content rather than just processing existing data. Al Sherif aims to use this technology to stimulate fresh, innovative creativity.
The idea for the competition was influenced by musician Grimes, who allowed artists to incorporate her voice and sound into their work. Similarly, Al Sherif encourages people to use generative AI to create new and innovative content based on excerpts from her novel.
The competition, which started on August 23, 2023, and runs until November 29, 2023, encourages participants to use generative AI in various forms, including music, video, text, and images, to complement, reinterpret, or riff off the content provided from Nadiri. Winners will receive various prizes, including the chance to self-publish their work on Al Sherif’s website, increased exposure on social media, and a signed and personalized copy of Nadiri.
