Intel’s highly anticipated Meteor Lake CPUs are set to debut in laptops next month, featuring more powerful integrated Arc graphics. A recent leak has provided a glimpse at the impressive performance of these Alchemist processors.

The leak, highlighted by Wccftech, showcased a benchmark from Benchleaks on X (formerly Twitter), featuring an MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo laptop equipped with the Core Ultra 7 155H processor. According to the leak, the integrated Arc GPU managed to attain a score of 27,249 points in Geekbench 5 OpenCL, putting it in close competition with AMD’s Radeon 780M.

It’s worth noting that the AMD chip runs at 30W, compared to 28W for the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, giving Intel a slight lead on power usage. Additionally, Nvidia’s GTX 1060 is only 10% faster than the Core Ultra 7 processor’s Alchemist graphics, indicating comparable performance between the two.

Looking ahead, Intel’s Arc driver is expected to benefit from further optimization upon the release of Alchemist laptop GPUs. Furthermore, Intel’s XeSS frame rate boosting technology is poised to enhance Meteor Lake CPUs’ capabilities and deliver faster frame rates.
