SpaceX has been granted the license required to proceed with its second launch test of the Starship by the US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) this November. After almost seven months since the explosion and the static fire test, with the FAA’s demand for SpaceX to fix as many as 63 corrective actions, the spacecraft is now cleared for its scheduled takeoff. Elon Musk’s SpaceX confirmed its readiness for the second test for the full stack of the Starship and Super Heavy Booster, with this being a deciding factor for its future.

The FAA released a statement confirming the latest license authorization for SpaceX to launch its second test flight of the Starship, the Stainless Steel spacecraft bound for Mars. The agency announced, “The FAA has given license authorization for the second launch of @SpaceX Starship Super Heavy vehicle. The FAA determined SpaceX met all safety, environmental, policy, and financial responsibility requirements.”

Targeting Friday, November 17 for Starship’s second flight test. A two-hour launch window opens at 7:00 a.m. CT

SpaceX also confirmed that its target launch for the Starship’s second test is this Friday, November 17, at around 7:00 AM Central Time, with a two-hour launch window. The company’s live stream will take place on its X account which would begin 30 minutes before its much-awaited liftoff, inviting users to join the online event and witness its marvels.

Despite previous operations not going as planned, SpaceX is looking to address the issues and move forward with its Starship, a spacecraft that could potentially transport humans to Mars and serve as a space station. With the launch license now approved, SpaceX is preparing for its next launch, and enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting what comes next for the spacecraft.
