Integration of Google’s AI Technology Enhances Voice Analytics in the Finance Industry for Symphony

Health

Symphony is collaborating with Google to improve voice analytics capabilities for banks and investment firms. This partnership is a response to increased regulatory scrutiny on communications compliance within the financial industry. Heightened pressure from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has led to over $2 billion in fines due to failures in tracking or recording business-related text messages during COVID-19 lockdowns. Financial institutions are now preparing for potential investigations into their use of voice and video calls.

Google’s AI platform, Vertex AI, will enhance Symphony’s Cloud9 voice product, which is used by major banks such as Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan. The aim is to improve speech-to-text and natural language processing capabilities, as well as flag discussions for review when anomalies are detected. Additionally, the collaboration envisions users mining the transcribed data for insights to influence sales or trading strategies.

In another update, Google has released the initial update for its AI Core app, available exclusively for Pixel 8 Pro devices. The app provides essential AI capabilities to various applications on Android devices, managing updates to AI models and ensuring their currency and relevance to the latest advancements.

The tech giant hopes to decrease cloud processing by letting users execute AI models locally, enhancing speed and privacy. Despite the initial exclusivity to Pixel 8 Pro devices, the user community anticipates further development of the AI Core app to play a pivotal role in powering advanced AI features on various Pixel models.
