Mocaverse to Develop Decentralized Social Layer

Web3

CyberConnect collaborates with Animoca Brands to enhance Mocaverse’s identity layer using CyberAccount, redefining Web3 social networks and simplifying crypto wallets.

Key Points

  • CyberConnect partners Animoca Brands to strengthen Mocaverse’s identity layer using CyberAccount.
  • CyberAccount’s V3 upgrade sets a Web3 benchmark as a scalable smart account.
  • The collaboration aims to redefine Web3 social networks, simplify crypto wallets, and accelerate app launches.
  • Animoca Brands plans CyberAccount integration in Mocaverse for user networks.

Web3 pioneer social network, CyberConnect, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Animoca Brands, a company known for its advancement of digital property rights in gaming and the open metaverse.

The strategic partnership aims to create a decentralized social layer for Mocaverse, an NFT collection that is essential to the Animoca Brands ecosystem.

Enhancing the Identity Layer with CyberAccount

The collaboration between CyberConnect and Animoca Brands will utilize CyberConnect’s smart account infrastructure, called CyberAccount, to strengthen the identity layer of Mocaverse.

By doing so, companies under Animoca Brands will have the ability to construct their own unique social graph, enhancing the interoperable user experiences across various games, products, and services.

The Rise of CyberAccount

In a major development, CyberConnect recently introduced the V3 upgrade, which included the launch of CyberAccount.

This smart account, powered by ERC-4337, is the first scalable and thoroughly vetted account of its kind in the Web3 domain.

Since its debut on July 26, 2023, CyberAccount has become a leader in the ERC-4337 account abstraction space, accounting for over 90% of all smart accounts created thus far.

A Benchmark in the Web3 Social Network Space

The joint venture between Animoca Brands and CyberConnect aims to set a new standard in the Web3 social network industry.

Their goal is to create a paradigm shift in the development of consumer products and applications, allowing users to seamlessly navigate their preferred applications without the need to rebuild their networks.

ERC-4337-powered smart accounts, such as CyberAccount, simplify the complexities of crypto wallets for Web3 developers. This ensures that the user experience and onboarding process is intuitive, similar to the familiar Web2.

Applications built on CyberAccount provide users with access to a wide range of games and services offered by Animoca Brands and its associated companies through a unified smart account.

Expediting Decentralized Application Launches

While existing solutions like MetaMask provide access to a crypto-native user base, they often lack tools for developers to deploy context-specific and tailored user experiences.

By integrating a social graph with users’ CyberAccount, developers can accelerate the launch of their decentralized applications and tap into new user demographics. Animoca Brands sees this “super account” strategy as a way to expand its reach and offer developers an unparalleled user onboarding solution.

In the coming months, Animoca Brands plans to extend support for CyberAccount across Mocaverse. This will allow users to integrate their networks of friends, fans, followers, and connections into their favorite applications.

Concluding Thoughts

CyberConnect, founded by a team of entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley in 2021, is the earliest and most expansive social network in the Web3 space.

It enables developers to build social applications using ERC-4337/Account Abstraction, giving users ownership of their digital identity, content, connections, and interactions.

As of August 2023, the CyberConnect protocol has 1.2 million user profiles, with 400,000 monthly active wallets executing over 16.3 million transactions. Its native social app, Link3, boasts 940,000 monthly active users.

Furthermore, the native token of CyberConnect, CYBER, has recently been listed on major cryptocurrency exchanges including Binance, Bithumb, and Bitget.
