NASA has launched a new on-demand streaming service called NASA Plus and an upgraded app, offering a wealth of original content to the public. These digital platforms provide access to a variety of offerings, including original video series, live launch coverage, children’s content, Spanish-language programming, and the latest news about NASA’s missions.

The streaming service is ad-free and cost-free, accessible through the NASA App on iOS and Android devices, as well as on streaming media players like Roku and Apple TV. It can also be accessed online at https://plus.nasa.gov. Marc Etkind, Associate Administrator at NASA Headquarters, emphasized the role of the new streaming platform and app in inviting the world to join NASA in exploring the unknown and sharing humanity’s remarkable stories.

NASA Plus offers access to live coverage and insights into NASA’s missions, including original video series and brand-new productions. The content includes a documentary series about each image captured by the James Webb Space Telescope, animated children’s shows, a series about the personal narratives of Black NASA astronauts, a behind-the-scenes series on scientific endeavors, ultra-high-definition visual explorations of the cosmos, and Spanish-language content featuring Hispanic and Latino NASA employees.

The service also provides live coverage of events, such as launching scientific experiments and sending astronauts into space, including the historic missions that will see the first woman and person of color land on the Moon. The NASA app has been enhanced with features such as cloud push notifications and augmented reality, allowing users to interact with 3D models of NASA rockets, spacecraft, and rovers.

The app provides access to a vast repository of the agency’s latest content, including over 21,000 images, podcasts, news articles, feature stories, and live event coverage. Do not reproduce without permission.
