Designed specifically for the Indian market, Outlook Lite incorporates the essence of Microsoft Outlook into a compact, high-performance application tailored for lightweight devices. The app focuses on inclusivity and addressing the diverse linguistic needs of Indian users by offering features like voice typing and transliteration for dictating emails in Hindi or typing in Tamil, and reading emails in languages like Gujarati. The current upgrade supports five Indian languages, with plans for future expansion. Additionally, it optimizes SMS messaging and offers timely reminders for appointments, bill payments, and travel bookings. Rajiv Kumar, the managing director of Microsoft India Development Centre, emphasized that the evolution of Outlook Lite embodies the company’s dedication to fostering inclusive digital experiences.
