Samsung is set to broaden the reach of its Galaxy AI features with the introduction of the new One UI 6.1 update slated for release in late March.
This update will extend the availability of Galaxy AI capabilities to a wide range of devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9+, and Tab S9.
Samsung Extends Galaxy AI Features to More Devices
Initially introduced for the Galaxy S24 series, these AI features will now be accessible to a larger user base, marking Samsung’s efforts to democratize its mobile AI technologies.
According to Samsung’s official announcement, the integration of Galaxy AI into more devices aims to enhance users’ mobile AI experience by employing a hybrid approach that combines both on-device and cloud-based AI functionalities.
TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, emphasized the company’s commitment to making AI more accessible to users, stating that their goal with Galaxy AI is to pioneer a new era of mobile AI while empowering users.
“Our goal with Galaxy AI is not only to pioneer a new era of mobile AI, but also to empower users by making AI more accessible,” Roh said in a statement.
“This is only the beginning of Galaxy AI, as we plan to bring the experience to over 100 million Galaxy users within 2024 and continue to innovate ways to harness the unlimited possibilities of mobile AI,” he added.
